Glorify

The best way to glorify God is through Worship. At APC we truly believe that, as Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 12, the Holy Spirit has manifested in each of us spiritual gifts to use for the common good, and at one time or another many of APC’s members have been involved in helping to develop our Worship themes and programs. Our services are creative, Christ-centered, and Biblically faithful. Creative Worship Teams help the pastors develop themes based on Biblical principles with relevance to today’s Christian life. Some of our themes have included “Getting Spiritually Fit,” “The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe,” and “American Idols.”

Communion is served on the first Sunday of every month. We have special evening services on Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, and Maundy Thursday, and of course a special celebration on Easter Sunday. Twice a year our junior and senior high youth lead Worship, and our younger children perform their annual musical in June.

Gather

Fellowship is an integral aspect of the life of APC. There are many opportunities throughout the year for members and friends of APC to gather together to build Christ-centered relationships and friendships with one another. Homemade breakfasts and potluck dinners are mainstays of APC’s social calendar.

Gain

Discipleship is the process of becoming more like Jesus by deepening our relationship with Him. This happens best through studying the Bible and gathering with other Christians to pray and support one another. There are a variety of ways to do this at APC; there is truly “something for everyone.” We particularly encourage one another to participate in the ministries of home churches—small groups meeting at a variety of times and places and discussing a variety of topics.

Give

Ministry is the way in which we take the gifts God has given us and use them to build up the church. Discovering your individual gifts and putting them to use in service to God is exciting and challenging. At APC we emphasize helping people to give enthusiastically and generously of their time, talent, and money in response to the goodness and grace of God.

Go

Mission is the opportunity to share our faith with others. At APC we provide many opportunities for members and friends to go and serve others through a wide variety of service projects, both here and abroad. We serve in very diverse ways, such as serving regularly in a soup kitchen in Trenton, sponsoring annual trips to Guatemala and El Salvador, and embarking on a biannual intergenerational mission trip to Starks, Maine, to work on construction projects for the underprivileged.
