Music

Adult Choir

The adult choir generally prepares special music for Advent & Christmas, and Holy Week & Easter. Choir members gather weekly to prepare to lead Worship during these special times of the church year by learning and rehearsing a variety of meaningful musical styles, including contemporary, traditional, classical, gospel, and a cappella. Anyone high school age or older is welcome to join the choir at any time.

Although the singers work very hard during their rehearsal time, it is also a time of laughter, sharing of joys and concerns, worship, fellowship, and prayer. New singers are always welcome!

Being a part of this choir is a great way to serve God and make a difference in the worship experience for the church.

Praise & Worship Ensembles

Our Praise & Worship Ensembles come in all kinds of shapes, sizes, and configurations. From a six-person contemporary music band to classical duets by a cellist and flutist, the ensembles offer the opportunity for anyone and everyone with a gift and love for music to actively participate in worshipping God.

Rehearsals take place in the evening time directly preceding Adult Choir rehearsal. During these rehearsals the singers and musicians learn new praise and worship music as well as practice the “standards” that have become favorites of the congregation. The singers learn to sing their music in parts and also prepare themselves to lead worship. Adults as well as youth are welcome to participate.

Lookin’ Up

This is APC’s premier Praise & Worship Band. While the members have been playing together for a few years, they formed the band in 2006, and they often lead worship at Sunday Services in a dynamic and refreshing way. The band also plays by invitation at other area churches during their services or other special events.

Their styles include Praise & Worship and Contemporary Christian. On their playlist are songs from such popular artists as Chris Tomlin, Casting Crowns, Matt Redman, Michael W. Smith, and Stephen Curtis Chapman.

Lookin’ Up is comprised of Jennalyn Rasmussen on vocals and piano, Walt Brooks on vocals and acoustic and electric guitar, Brian Ricci on bass guitar, and Rich Baylor and David Korey on drums and guitars. Always lookin’ for new members, you can contact Walt Brooks at (609)890-7494 or uwally@optonline.net.
