Our motto is "Crossroads is a different kind of place." In the midst of a world that isolates and ignores youth, Crossroads is an open and inviting safe place for youth to come and be welcomed by a caring community.

We exist to...

• inspire youth in the Allentown area to develop lifelong, intimate relationships with Jesus Christ
  
  
• encourage those youth to grow as active members of God’s family
  
  
• empower the youth of APC to serve with such a passion for God that their communities and their worlds are impacted for Christ.

Our Chromosomes

Christ-centered: The first priority of every program and activity sponsored by the APC Youth Ministry is to bring our youth, their families, and the ministry’s leaders into closer relationships with Jesus.

Mission-focused: We take on the privilege of sharing the powerful message of Jesus Christ with those who have never embraced it for themselves.

Openness: We accept each other joyfully and embrace the God-given uniqueness of each person who enters our youth ministry.

Honesty: We do not claim to have all the answers to the questions of faith and suffering and evil, but we are honest about having questions, seeking to follow Christ faithfully even when life is not easy and the answers are unclear.

Respect: We choose to make our youth ministry a fun place where all who come feel welcome, where confidentiality is respected, and where the common bond of spiritual growth transcends our differences.

Humility: We recognize that transformation is a work of God and not a result of our work, so we seek to point youth to Christ and not to ourselves.

Nurture: We strive to take the time to know each other and to encourage and affirm the gifts each person brings to our family of faith. We embrace and accept each individual where he or she is in their own faith journey, understanding that each person has their own unique growth process.

Compassion: We show particular concern for those in need, both inside and outside our church, extending God’s grace and care freely and joyfully.

Commitment: We are willing to step outside our individual comfort zones in order to live out God’s priorities.

Passion: We pursue our faith, our worship, and our lives with a depth and eagerness that comes from knowing Christ personally.

Trust: We believe the best about each other, and trust God to do extraordinary things with every person in our faith family.
